Role Overview
The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 1 is an entry-level role responsible for processing orders and transactions that originate from trading desks and branch offices, working closely with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The position supports the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities
- Carry out trade verifications to confirm the accuracy of booking requests.
- Generate and match trade confirmations in line with International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) templates.
- Complete settlement activities and daily rate revaluations accurately and within required timelines.
- Coordinate transaction processing issues with relevant departments and help resolve them collaboratively.
- Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention in accordance with established policies.
- Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports for internal and external requirements.
- Participate in periodic General Ledger (GL) proofing exercises as directed.
- Assess risk when making business decisions, protecting the firm's reputation and safeguarding client assets while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a related area is preferred.
- Basic understanding of treasury products, accounting practices, and regulatory policies.
- Ability to manage multiple activities or projects simultaneously within a high-risk environment.
- Working knowledge of macros.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
