Role Overview
The Asset Servicing Analyst 2 is a developing professional position. This role involves applying specialized knowledge to monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data. Responsibilities include identifying policy gaps and formulating new policies, interpreting data, and making recommendations. The analyst will research and interpret factual information, identify inconsistencies in data or results, define business issues, and formulate recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices. The position integrates established disciplinary knowledge within its specialty area with a basic understanding of related industry practices. A good understanding of how the team interacts with others to achieve departmental objectives is essential. The role develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. The impact on the business is limited but direct, stemming from the quality of tasks and services provided, and is restricted to the immediate team.
Responsibilities
- Manage reconciling and processing positions related to Corporate Action events.
- Activities include revising communications, notifications, and facilitating postings for Corporate Action or Proxy events.
- Review all Corporate Action/Proxy events received to ensure detailed understanding and processing requirements.
- Liaise with all units and departments that relate to and impact clients on Corporate Action Proxy items.
- Proactively reconcile instructions versus eligible holders and execute client votes.
- Research and resolve all discrepancies within department standards.
- Review and update all processes and procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
- Identify and report any gaps or system enhancements.
- Participate in all testing and successful implementations.
- Escalate issues to management, participate in cross-training activities, and perform all other assigned job duties.
- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
