Citi Hiring Securities & Derivatives Analyst in Pune

The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions received from trading desks and branch offices, working closely with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The role focuses on supporting the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out trade verification activities to confirm the accuracy of booking requests.
• Generate and reconcile trade confirmations using International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) templates.
• Execute settlement activities and complete daily rate revaluations accurately and within required timelines.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve transaction processing issues and support effective solutions.
• Perform regulatory checks, account reconciliations, and maintain records in line with established policies.
• Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports for both internal and external requirements.
• Participate in General Ledger (GL) proofing exercises as assigned.
• Assess potential risks when making business decisions, while protecting the firm's reputation and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Escalate and report control issues transparently when required.

Qualifications

• Relevant industry experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of treasury products, accounting principles, and regulatory policies.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks or projects in a high risk operational environment.
• Working knowledge of macros.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
