Overview

The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level role responsible for processing orders and transactions received from trading desks and branch offices, working closely with the Operations Transaction Services team. The main objective is to support the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Process securities transactions, provide analytical input for traders, and assist in reviewing derivative products.
  • Identify and resolve settlement issues related to securities and derivatives, and recommend improvements to operational processes.
  • Analyze moderately complex reports to meet management requirements, support control activities, and assist with the introduction of product services.
  • Monitor operational errors and propose solutions that reduce risk to the bank using knowledge of established procedures.
  • Escalate transaction processing issues to the relevant departments and collaborate to resolve them.
  • Design and evaluate moderately complex reports in alignment with standards defined by leadership.
  • Assist with control processes and support the rollout of new products and services.
  • Ensure operational processes follow internal audit and control policies.
  • Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, considering the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets while complying with laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Qualifications

  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of Treasury products, accounting practices, and regulatory policies.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks or projects in a high risk environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced operational setting.
  • Working knowledge of macros.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
