Role Overview

The Fund Accounting Analyst is an entry level position that supports fund valuation activities in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The primary objective is to assist in calculating daily and periodic Net Asset Values (NAVs) for funds and distributing the associated unit prices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fund activity to ensure accuracy and timeliness, including calculation of NAV and distribution factors.
• Assist with reviewing stock and cash reconciliations as a checker, confirming that exceptions do not impact NAV and that cleared items are treated correctly.
• Ensure corporate actions are properly reflected within NAV calculations.
• Support the resolution of complex operational issues.
• Investigate and address client queries promptly and professionally.
• Ensure client Service Level Agreements (SLA) and operational deadlines are met.
• Assist in gathering and analyzing management information from both operational and client perspectives.
• Assess risk when making business decisions while protecting the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies while escalating control issues transparently.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience is preferred.
• Background in accounting, finance, or a related business discipline.
• Exposure to financial services or operational processes is beneficial.
• MBA graduates, CFA certification holders, or Chartered Accountants are preferred.
• Experience in funds administration and understanding of fund services processes is advantageous.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification or experience.
