The Secure WAN solutions team at Cisco focuses on delivering secure connectivity from branch locations to the cloud edge. The group brings together expertise in both hardware and software to design scalable, high performance WAN and security solutions that address changing customer requirements.
Following the introduction of the Cisco Secure Router 8000 Series in June 2025, the team expanded the portfolio to support critical datacenter and campus aggregation deployments. Collaboration across global teams and technologies helps drive Cisco’s vision of a software-defined branch and enables customers to adopt new technologies with confidence.
As a Technical Marketing Engineer within the Secure WAN team, you will help accelerate adoption of Cisco 8000 Series Secure Router solutions, particularly for datacenter and campus environments. The role involves working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales teams, and customers to ensure the solutions address market needs and deliver strong customer value.
You will apply technical expertise and industry knowledge to contribute to product portfolio development, technical product strategy, and marketing initiatives. The position also involves evaluating the competitive landscape and identifying strengths, gaps, and opportunities for Cisco solutions.
The role collaborates with Product Management, Product Development, UX Design, Customer Experience, and Sales teams to shape or refine products aligned with customer needs and market demand. Responsibilities include validating early product concepts with customers, advocating for customer requirements, and participating in demonstrations, launch events, and technical forums.
You will also prepare technical documentation, product specifications, and training materials that support partners, field teams, and sales organizations throughout the product lifecycle.
