Cisco Customer Experience (CX) brings together technical specialists focused on delivering a high-quality customer experience. The team supports organizations in solving complex business challenges with network-centric solutions that drive adoption, expansion, and renewals.
The Consulting Engineering group works with large enterprises to design, deploy, and optimize modern networks built on Cisco technologies such as SD-Access, SD-WAN, and Routing and Switching. The objective is to convert technical solutions into measurable business outcomes for customers.
Your Impact
As an entry-level Consulting Engineer, you will work alongside experienced technical experts and assist in the deployment and operations of Cisco SD-Access, SD-WAN, and Routing and Switching environments. The role provides exposure to enterprise networking technologies and supports the development of skills needed to become a customer-facing technical advisor.
- Assist with configuration, setup, monitoring, and documentation activities for Cisco SD-Access, SD-WAN, and Routing and Switching deployments under guidance from senior engineers.
- Collect data, prepare reports, and support system testing and analysis to help troubleshoot issues, using automation and AI-assisted tools where appropriate.
- Help build and maintain basic lab environments to reproduce customer issues and validate solutions.
- Create clear technical documentation and use automation scripts or AI-supported tools while validating outputs.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to internal repositories of best practices and lessons learned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent of two years of related experience.
- Active CCNA certification.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and routing and switching fundamentals.
- Exposure to Cisco IOS or IOS-XE through academic coursework, labs, or internships.
- Familiarity with at least one scripting language, preferably Python.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in Cisco SD-Access and SD-WAN technologies.
- Awareness of AI-assisted productivity tools with the ability to validate generated outputs.
- Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal formats and willingness to learn from feedback.
- Collaborative mindset with a customer-focused approach and strong interest in networking technologies.
