Role Overview

Work on defining, designing, and verifying ASICs and related subsystems used across a range of Cisco platforms. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary engineering team to achieve product goals related to power, performance, and silicon area. Engineers contribute to the development of high-volume ASIC subsystems while helping refine processes, methods, and tools used in complex chip development.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute assignments delegated within the ASIC engineering team.
• Own and maintain specific portions of project code.
• Develop and maintain RTL code and participate in code reviews.
• Debug owned code and support resolution of functional issues.
• Assist in creating new ASIC designs and enhancing existing implementations.
• Develop and run test plans and test benches for validation.
• Modify and extend tests to address specific verification scenarios.
• Execute and validate analog or mixed-signal products.
• Perform floorplanning and timing closure for multiple ASIC blocks.
• Debug timing challenges in collaboration with RTL block owners.
• Support product readiness for manufacturing and help implement power and signaling solutions.
• Assist in planning and evaluating signal integrity considerations.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with no prior experience.
