Role Overview
Cartesia is seeking a Software Engineer for its India office to work on cutting-edge AI systems. You will design, build, and scale systems that power real-time multimodal intelligence, directly impacting how advanced AI runs across devices and platforms. This role offers high ownership, technical challenges at scale, and the opportunity to work closely with world-class researchers and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimize low-latency, reliable inference and serving systems for AI models
- Translate advanced research into production-ready products in collaboration with product and research teams
- Develop scalable, high-performance data processing and evaluation pipelines for foundation model training
- Influence product design and architecture with strong technical ownership
What We’re Looking For
- Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to work in complex codebases
- Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code
- Experience with distributed systems, performance optimization, and observability
- Familiarity with Go and Python (backend), Next.js (frontend)
- Ability to deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced environments
- [Bonus] Experience in machine learning, foundation models, or generative AI
Education Requirement
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
