About the Role

Are you great with numbers? Do you know how to take care of the details? We're looking for someone like that who can help us:

• Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger.
• Ensure integrity of financial ledger through monthly balance sheet substantiation process and accurate processing of adjustments and investigation of feed issues.
• Analyze financial information through trend analysis for insights and explain material balances and/or differences to support decision making.
• Work closely with GWM business partners to support the business in forecasting and understanding of the financials.
• Work with the business on new product initiatives and ensure systems, policies and controls are in place.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure timelines relating to statutory filing are adhered to.
• Address queries from stakeholders (e.g. Capital, Group tax, entity controllers, Credit, Risk).
• Drive improvements in controls and achieve efficiency through digital tools.

The Team

You'll be joining the APAC WM Financial Control team in Pune. This is a high profile team supporting the regional WM/AM business, with significant interaction with a broad and diverse range of areas, including Country Controller, Business Managers, Group Treasury, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Legal, Operations, Auditors and other Finance functions.

Your Skills and Experience

• University degree in accountancy, finance or business, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Keen interest in financial markets and digitization.
• Strong analytical skills.
• A self-starter, fluent in English.
• Methodical, concise and accurate, with strong attention to detail.
