Role Overview
As a Software Development Engineer - Backend, you will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and supporting systems and applications used by a large number of developers. You will work in an agile engineering team, collaborating across functions to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop systems and applications with scalability and quality
- Take end-to-end ownership of tasks from development to production
- Design, implement, and launch key product features
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with peers
- Drive engineering best practices and process improvements
- Solve issues across different operating systems and programming environments
Desired Skills & Experience
- 6 months – 1 year of software development/programming experience (internships included)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Ruby, Node.js, Python, Java, C/C++
- Strong understanding of operating systems, databases, networking, and deployment processes
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes preferred
- Ability to work on Windows and Linux platforms (below the application layer)
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical discussions
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to handle production-level issues
- Startup mentality: willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced environment
