Job Description

The Global Technology division manages the critical systems and platforms behind the company's retail, commercial and institutional businesses, as well as key support functions globally. Teams develop and deploy technologies in areas such as mobile and online banking, payments processing, technology infrastructure, cyber-security, risk and capital management and enterprise data management.

Global Technology teams work on immersive technology, and you will use leading technology solutions and integrated platforms so that customers and clients can bank with us anytime, anywhere.

Skills exposure: Front end and back-end development (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, .NET, HTML, Linux/Unix, Oracle, Angular) and React JS.

Responsibilities

You will make sure software meets functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and that solutions are well designed, with maintainability, ease of integration and testing built in from the start. Key tasks may include:

• Gathering and translating internal and external client requirements into technical design specifications and business process re-engineering
• Coding solutions and unit tests, and making sure they integrate successfully into internal banking applications and systems with clear, robust, well-tested interfaces
• Taking part in CI/CD delivery and release events, including branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge and conflict resolution and release notes
• Documenting models and findings, and supporting data collation and processing for development and delivery
• Performing proofs of concept to implement new ideas or mitigate risk
• Ensuring execution and delivery meet technology expectations for functionality, quality, performance, reliability and timelines
• Working with global development teams and business partners across APAC, EMEA and AMRS, and translating business and functional requirements for banking, trading and markets
• Identifying, escalating and resolving incidents and issues

Hands-on engagement across the full software lifecycle is expected, including requirements analysis, coding, testing and deployment.

Students must be open to work in any shifts, including night and rotational shifts, as required by business or process needs.
