Management Trainee Journey

As a Management Trainee, you will:

• Develop key skills through exposure to project management, P&L management, product launches, omni-channel marketing, sales operations, strategy, and market access.
• Build management and healthcare business acumen through personal development workshops and training programs, including immersion stints with field-based teams.
• Grow as a business leader by working with project managers and senior leaders who will be invested in your development.
• Gain networking opportunities with leaders of the country leadership team.

Final Placement

Management Trainees will be placed in one of the following roles, depending on preference, performance during the MT stint, and role availability:

• Brand Management: Designing, implementing, and evaluating marketing activities for assigned products within a product line, including distribution channel solutions (digital, social media, inside sales). Supports review of marketing programs, helps implement changes, and assists in analyzing market data to identify key segment drivers. Works with promotional and direct-to-consumer teams.
• Market Access & Pricing: Assists in developing pricing strategies for all products. Manages contract processing, analysis, and reporting, and works closely with Contract Strategy to improve contract implementation and efficiency.
• Business, Strategy & Portfolio: Leads and conducts analysis of industry and market trends, carries out regular strategic analyses of AstraZeneca peers, and contributes to high-level strategic exercises. Supports planning and oversight of analysis related to current and future portfolios.
• Sales: Leads the sales portfolio for a geography, working closely with the leadership team to support growth of the area. Focus areas include business revenue, profits, quality of sales, and developing talent within the team.
