Your Role and Responsibilities

The Associate Software Engineer develops and tests software solutions that contribute to solving user problems. Guided by senior team members, this position exists to build a strong technical foundation by understanding how well-crafted, high-quality code directly impacts customer satisfaction.

A key function is to learn and apply best practices to deliver reliable features, ensuring all work meets the quality standards our customers expect. This role is foundational in upholding our commitment to software excellence from the ground up.

• Technical Impact: Designs and develops software solutions by contributing with guidance to a subsystem or component.
• Ensure Software Quality and Reliability: Contributes with guidance to testing and debugging of software.
• Internal and External Collaboration: Actively learns from internal and external communities by participating in discussions and seeking feedback to understand their ecosystem.
• Mentor and Develop Engineering Talent: Seeks out and adopts constructive feedback from more senior associates, managers, and other leaders.
• Own and Deliver Business Impact: Takes ownership of assigned tasks and delivers on time, providing value to the end user.
• Apply and Advance Technical Practices: Learns and applies team's best practices.
• Leverage and Utilize AI Tools: Follows established procedures to utilize AI tools and agents for completing routine development tasks and improving personal productivity.
• SDLC: Follows the team's established SDLC for all assigned tasks, focusing on learning and correctly applying each stage of the process.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Component Design Experience: Exposure to designing and developing components that meet IT requirements, including creating functional and technical designs, models, and components for custom information systems.
• Coding and Testing Skills: Experience working with code development, unit testing, and documentation to deliver high-quality information systems.
• System Assembly Knowledge: Exposure to integrating designed components into cohesive information systems, ensuring they meet technical and functional specifications.
• Technical Documentation: Experience working with maintaining detailed records of designs, components, code, and tests to facilitate future maintenance and updates.
• Solution Implementation: Exposure to implementing solutions that meet IT requirements, collaborating with stakeholders as needed.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Component Development Methodologies: Exposure to various methodologies for designing and developing components, including Agile and Waterfall approaches, to deliver custom information systems that meet IT requirements.
• Advanced Coding Techniques: Experience working with coding best practices, design patterns, and testing frameworks to develop high-quality code and ensure reliable information systems.
• System Integration Tools: Exposure to tools and technologies used for integrating designed components into cohesive information systems, such as APIs and data interfaces.
