About the Role

The Equity Capital Structure dataset within the Market Data division focuses on extracting the optimum equity capital structure of a given company from both financial and non-financial documents filed by companies. It includes equity component name, start date, end date, issued shares, treasury shares, outstanding shares, and more. The team also extracts attributes for all equity components such as authorized shares, par value, convertibility, and voting rights, and captures shareholder data, corporate events data, and depository receipts outstanding data against each equity component. The Market Data Operations Team consists of 240+ members working from offices in India and Manila, covering all global markets.

Responsibilities

You will be a key member of the S&P Global Equity Capital Structure Operations Team, which is part of Market Data. Reporting into the local management team, you will be part of our Content Operations that ensures the information our clients are looking for is available as timely and accurate as possible.

  • Responsible for extraction and ingestion of data as per set guidelines, while adhering to accuracy standards.
  • Achieve all set SMART goals.
  • Take the initiative to propose new methodologies or processes that will benefit our clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with team members and follow best practices.
  • Do detailed research before reaching out to the support team.
  • Actively participate in team initiatives or projects and add value to clients.
  • Share ideas for automation or simplification of processes.
  • Work on bad data audits and clean up the same.

What We're Looking For

  • Commerce graduate or post-graduate with excellent accounting or financial knowledge.
  • Effective English communication skills (written and verbal) and sound computer skills are prerequisites. Well-versed with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment, while following a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.
  • An inquisitive and investigative nature, a positive attitude, strong interest in research, flair for writing, and an eye for detail. Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpretive skills.
  • Ability to interact with many levels and to face and deal with issues in a mature and professional manner.
  • The candidate should be willing to work in rotational (including night) shifts and adapt to working across all time zones.
  • Knowledge of SQL Language and Power BI will be an added advantage.
