Job Summary

Emerson is seeking an Applications and Systems Engineer to support bid management and technical evaluation activities. The role involves selecting appropriate valves, actuator sizing, and pricing isolation valve products and related field equipment according to customer requirements.

You will serve as a technical resource during the quotation phase, working closely with internal teams and customers to recommend the most suitable solutions for each application. Collaboration with sales teams, business development managers, factory PSQs, and inside sales teams across regions is an essential part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal and external customers to understand project requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.
• Prepare and submit quality quotations on time in coordination with BDMs, sales teams, legal teams, PMO, and factory PSQs.
• Provide pre-sales and technical support to customers, partners, and distributors.
• Participate in pre-order and post-order technical meetings with sales, PMO, product management teams, and business development managers where required.
• Maintain and update CRM records regularly.
• Review project requirements carefully and seek clarification or approvals from relevant stakeholders before submitting offers.
• Ensure quotations are delivered on schedule and comply with the DOA (Delegation of Authority) process.

Preferred Knowledge

• Understanding of isolation valve products, actuators, and instrumentation components is beneficial.
• Familiarity with destructive and non-destructive testing methods is an advantage.
• Knowledge of metallurgy, material science, and fluid mechanics is desirable.
