The Role

This position focuses on backend engineering. You'll be designing and building services that handle data processing, business logic, and integrations with other enterprise systems. Some days you'll be building APIs from scratch. Other days you'll optimize a slow database query or troubleshoot a production issue.

What Your Day Might Look Like

A typical day could start with reviewing pull requests from teammates. After that, you might work on a new microservice endpoint that supports a client application. Later, you'll collaborate with DevOps to ensure the service is containerized properly and ready for deployment.

But that's just part of it. Debugging performance issues, reviewing logs, and improving reliability are also a big part of the job. Good developers here think about stability just as much as features.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services, APIs, and microservices using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Create and maintain data pipelines or automation workflows that support enterprise applications.
• Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases while maintaining efficient schemas and optimized queries.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate actively in code reviews with other engineers.
• Implement automated testing using frameworks like pytest or unittest.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable builds, testing, and deployments.
• Containerize applications using Docker and assist with orchestration in Kubernetes environments.
• Deploy and maintain services on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Monitor application health, investigate production issues, and apply fixes quickly when needed.
• Collaborate with product and QA teams to ensure features meet business and technical requirements.

Technology Environment

The engineering team works with a modern stack built around Python and cloud-native development. Services are typically designed as microservices that communicate through APIs or messaging systems.
