Job Overview

Birlasoft is seeking a highly skilled AI Associate Data Scientist to design, develop, and deploy autonomous AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, decision-making, and interacting within digital environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI solutions using large language models (LLMs), multi-agent systems, and simulation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI agents using LLMs, planning algorithms, and decision-making frameworks.
• Develop agent architectures that enable autonomy, interactivity, and efficient task completion.
• Integrate AI agents into applications, APIs, and workflows such as chatbots, copilots, and automation tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, engineers, and product managers to enhance agent capabilities.
• Optimize agent performance through reinforcement learning, feedback loops, and user interaction.
• Monitor agent performance, conduct evaluations, and implement safety and compliance measures.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of design decisions, agent logic, and system dependencies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
• Experience with AI/ML libraries such as LangChain, OpenAI API, and Hugging Face.
• Knowledge of agent-based modeling, multi-agent systems, or reinforcement learning.
• Experience in building applications with LLMs or generative AI models.
• Familiarity with API development, backend services, and deployment pipelines.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with autonomous agent frameworks like AutoGen, CrewAI, LangGraph, ReAct, or MS Copilot Studio.
• Background in human-AI interaction, conversational UX, or simulation environments.
• Knowledge of vector databases, prompt engineering, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or a portfolio of agent-based systems.
• Understanding of ethical, social, and safety aspects of autonomous AI systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure.
