Role Summary

As a Product Analyst Intern at Amber, you will play a critical role in driving data-informed product decisions. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to measure performance, assess experiments, and guide product improvements through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers to explore datasets and extract insights with minimal guidance
Define and set up key metrics for tracking product and functional performance
Conduct data analysis to measure the impact of product experiments and recommend course corrections
Propose actionable improvements to products based on analytical findings
Build dashboards to monitor feature rollouts and long-term success metrics
Define new metrics and strategies to improve product and business performance
Work with engineers to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability
Execute deep-dives into data to identify key problems and propose experimentation-based solutions
Capture and synthesize insights from customer feedback, experiments, and research to influence product direction

Required Skills

Basic understanding of SQL and comfort working with large datasets
Proficient in using Google Sheets for data analysis and visualization
Curious mindset with a strong interest in understanding user behavior and product performance
Willingness to learn new tools such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, and Tableau
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
Clear and structured communication of insights
Collaborative approach to working with multiple stakeholders
Self-motivated and proactive in learning and executing tasks

Good to Have Skills

Exposure to BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker Studio
Python knowledge for data analysis or scripting
Experience with Google Analytics (GA4) or similar tools
Familiarity with data science/statistical concepts
Understanding of AWS or GCP environments
Experience using Google App Script for automating tasks in Sheets
