Job Description:
Amazon is hiring passionate Software Development Engineers to innovate and build solutions that impact millions of customers worldwide. As an SDE-I, you will design, develop, and deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create new products, features, and services while managing ambiguity and working at incredible scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with experienced teams to design and launch innovative products and services.
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant, low-cost distributed systems for storage, indexing, and querying.
- Develop solutions for running predictions on distributed systems.
- Design and implement software starting from broadly defined problems.
- Apply computer science fundamentals to solve complex technical challenges.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software efficiently.
Technical Skills Required:
Java, C, C++, Python, Object-Oriented Design, Data Structures, Algorithms, Problem Solving, Complexity Analysis, Distributed Systems, Relational Databases, Optimization (Linear Programming, Nonlinear Optimization)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous technical internship experience
- Experience with multi-tiered distributed systems
- Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills
- Effective communication of technical challenges and solutions
- Ability to handle ambiguous or undefined problems
