Airbus Hiring Associate Engineer – Aeroelasticity (Bangalore)

Job Description

Airbus is looking for a Loads and Aeroelastics Engineer to support the delivery of loads and aeroelastic solutions throughout the aircraft lifecycle, from development activities through in-service support.

The role focuses on modelling, analysis, and documentation required for safe aircraft design and certification while meeting time, cost, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop models and simulations of aircraft aerodynamics, inertia, structural flexibility, landing gear behaviour, control systems, and flight mechanics to evaluate external loads such as manoeuvres, turbulence, landing impacts, and ground handling effects.
• Analyze aircraft structural dynamics to ensure the aircraft remains free from flutter and other aeroelastic phenomena across the full operating envelope.
• Prepare and deliver loads and aeroelastic documentation and datasets required for structural sizing and certification activities.
• Provide recommendations that support aircraft design improvements, development processes, new technologies, and operational considerations related to loads and aeroelasticity.
• Follow quality assurance practices including lessons learned, continuous improvement initiatives, and adherence to defined quality gates.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

Required Technical Expertise

• Programming exposure in MATLAB or Python is considered an advantage
