Job Description
Airbus offers an apprenticeship opportunity for the role of Apprentice Engineer – Integration, Test and Analytics at its Bengaluru location. The position is part of the Integration and Flight Test Analysis department, which focuses on system integration and flight test activities.
This apprenticeship program is planned for approximately 12 months and is expected to begin in June 2026, with some flexibility in the start date.
Key Responsibilities
- Tool Development and Coding: Assist in building and maintaining software tools, primarily using Python, to parse data, automate workflows, and integrate different aerospace systems.
- Simulation and Data Replay: Support the integration of flight data into simulator environments, including transforming CSV data for 3D replay to support incident investigation and system visualization.
- Test Execution and Analysis: Perform system-level tests on integration benches or simulators, review results to identify anomalies, and document observations with guidance from senior engineers.
- Innovation and AI Exploration: Work with teams exploring Machine Learning and Generative AI concepts aimed at reducing manual testing efforts and improving predictive analysis.
Learning Opportunities
- Software and AI Development: Gain practical experience with Python, software architecture, and applications of Machine Learning and Generative AI to automate workflows and improve industrial processes.
- Aerospace Domain Knowledge: Develop understanding of aircraft subsystems such as flight controls, avionics, and navigation, while working with flight data analysis.
- Simulation and Data Engineering: Learn how raw Flight Data Recorder inputs are transformed into simulation replays, including data mapping and interaction with simulator platforms.
- System Verification and Automation: Understand the engineering testing lifecycle, progressing from manual test procedures to building scalable automated test frameworks for complex systems.
Throughout the apprenticeship, a tutor will guide you in identifying professional goals and building technical capabilities within the aerospace engineering environment.
