Apprenticeship: Business Efficiency & Innovation

An apprenticeship opportunity is available within Airbus India in Bangalore as part of the Maintenance and Retrofit Solutions (MaRS) department. The team focuses on scheduled maintenance services, delivering retrofit solution packages that help maintain aircraft airworthiness and improve airline operations, and designing specialized tools and ground support equipment used by airlines and maintenance organizations.

This apprenticeship is designed as a 12‑month program expected to begin around July or August 2026, with some flexibility in start date.

Main Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from technical, graphical, or numerical sources to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies affecting business efficiency.
• Propose concepts or IT-based solutions to address identified efficiency issues and operational insights.
• Engineer computer vision or geometric deep learning models for automated change detection between CAD assemblies, highlighting architectural differences using high‑fidelity image captures.
• Assist in preparing schematics and layouts for electronic control units used in automated Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
• Analyze large datasets and create interactive dashboards that provide data-driven insights to support stakeholder decision making.
• Support the development of predictive models and perform statistical analysis to solve business challenges and optimize internal processes.
• Contribute to multimodal AI solutions that convert 2D engineering drawings and technical illustrations into structured text or documentation using defined engineering rules.
• Assist with integrating sensors and microcontrollers into mechanical systems to enhance machine intelligence and safety, including assembling and testing automated tool prototypes.

Throughout the program, a dedicated tutor will guide you in defining professional objectives and strengthening technical capabilities.
