Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, make sure you meet all the eligibility conditions mentioned below:

Only the following specializations are considered:

• Computer Science Engineering (CSE)
• Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML)
• Data Science

(Other branches or interdisciplinary programs are not eligible.)

• A minimum CGPA of 7.0 or above (no rounding off).
• No active backlogs allowed at the time of application or during the selection process.

4. College Eligibility

Only students from the pre-selected list of 24 engineering institutes in India can participate.

5. Other Rules

• Each participant must register using a single Unstop account only.
• Multiple registrations, fake details, or any attempt at manipulation will lead to disqualification.
• Any kind of unethical or unauthorized outreach to Walmart employees will result in immediate removal from the contest.

Selection & Evaluation Process

The Sparkplug Challenge follows a multi-stage elimination process, ensuring only the best candidates make it through.

1. Demo MCQ Round (Optional)

• Dates: 30 Oct 2025 – 16 Nov 2025
• Purpose: Practice round to familiarize yourself with the online platform.
• Important: This is not an elimination round.

2. MCQ Challenge (Eliminator Round)

• Date: 17 Nov 2025 (12 PM – 11:59 PM IST)
• Format: 30 questions based on:
  • Mathematics & Logical Reasoning
  • Data Structures & Algorithms
  • Programming Concepts
  • OOPS & SOLID Design Principles
  • Operating Systems & Networking
  • Basics of Generative AI

The MCQ test can be attempted only via desktop or laptop.

3. Coding Challenge

• Date: 20 Nov 2025 (12 PM – 11:59 PM IST)
• Duration: 90 minutes
• Format: Solve 2 problem statements using any programming language.
• Evaluation: Both logic and efficiency will be considered.

Your combined score from the MCQ + Coding rounds will decide shortlisting for the next phase.

4. Profile Verification

• Date: 26 Nov – 11 Dec 2025
• Shortlisted students will be asked to upload academic transcripts, ID proofs, and college verification.
• Verification is mandatory for final selection.

Step 1: Registration

• Sign up or log in using your college email ID.

Step 2: Fill in Details

• Enter personal details, academic information, and college name.
• Ensure all fields are correct. Incorrect data can lead to rejection.

Step 3: Complete Demo Round (Optional)

• Attempt the Demo MCQ Round to get familiar with the platform.

Step 4: Attempt MCQ Challenge

• Appear for the MCQ test on the scheduled date using a stable internet connection and laptop.

Step 5: Attempt Coding Round

• Solve the coding questions on the scheduled date.
• Choose any programming language you are comfortable with (C++, Python, Java, etc.).

Step 6: Profile Verification

• If shortlisted, you’ll receive an email asking for supporting documents.
• Complete the verification by the deadline.
