IIT Mandi Summer Internship 2025: Eligibility, Application Process, Stipend, and Important Details

IIT Mandi is inviting applications for its Summer Internship Program 2025, which provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students to engage in research under the guidance of esteemed faculty members. The internship will be a residential program lasting one to two months from May to July 2025.

Objective of the Internship

The primary goal of the IIT Mandi Summer Internship Program is to introduce students to research, enhance their analytical and technical skills, and encourage them to explore careers in academia and research.

Eligibility Criteria

The internship is strictly open to students from institutes that have an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed with IIT Mandi. The detailed eligibility requirements are as follows:

For Bachelor’s Degree Students (B.Tech/B.E.): Only pre-final year (3rd-year) students are eligible.
For Postgraduate (M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A./MBA) Students: Only first-year students can apply.
The applicant must have a strong academic background and a keen interest in research.
The candidate must be able to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their home institute.

Internship Duration & Structure

The internship will last one to two months.
The interns will work under IIT Mandi faculty members in various research areas.
Hands-on training will be provided using hardware and software analysis tools.
Interns must arrange for their travel and accommodation, as IIT Mandi does not cover these expenses.

Stipend & Financial Support

Selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month for the internship duration. However, students must bear their own travel and living expenses.
