The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Goa has announced its highly anticipated Summer Internship Program 2025, offering students the opportunity to gain valuable research experience. This internship is available in two tracks – Track A (Paid) and Track B (Unpaid/Partially Paid). Program Overview

Internship Duration

• The internship will run from May 16, 2025, to July 15, 2025.
• The duration can range from a minimum of 6 weeks to a maximum of 2 months.
• The exact start and end dates can be negotiated with the assigned faculty mentor after selection.

Mode of Internship

• This internship is strictly offline, and selected candidates must be present on the IIT Goa campus for the entire duration.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open only to students from institutions other than IIT Goa.
• Applicants must be enrolled in undergraduate (B.A., B.Sc., B.Tech., Dual Degree) or postgraduate (M.A., M.Sc., M.C.A.) programs.
• M.Tech. students are not eligible for this program.

Tracks and Stipend Details

Track A (Paid Internship)

• Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹5000 per month.
• The total stipend for the 2-month duration will be ₹10,000.

Track B (Unpaid/Partially Paid Internship)

• Some positions in Track B may come with partial remuneration, while others will be purely voluntary.

Accommodation and Facilities

• Selected interns will be housed in on-campus hostels on a twin-sharing basis.
• Hostel charges will be as per institute norms.
• Mess Charges:
  • A one-time transportation and ambulance charge of ₹500 is applicable.
  • Last year, the mess charge was ₹240 per day for four meals or ₹170 per day on a monthly subscription. The final rates for 2025 will be announced later.

   • The file name should be in the format: JOBID-FIRSTNAME-LASTNAME.pdf (e.g., ENGR101-RAHUL-SHARMA.pdf).
   • Maximum file size: 1MB.
4. Submit the Form before the deadline.

Selection Process

• After the application deadline, the selection committee will review all applications based on academic records and suitability for the project.
• Final selection results will be announced on April 25, 2025.
• Selected candidates will receive an official email confirmation along with further instructions.

Important Notes

• Completion Certificate: Interns must complete at least 6 weeks of the internship to be eligible for a certificate.
• Bonafide Certificate: A bonafide certificate from the parent institution must be submitted before joining.
• Accommodation Extension: Hostel stay extensions are subject to availability and require prior approval.
• Rules & Regulations: Interns must follow IIT Goa’s guidelines and hostel regulations.
