Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Final year students of B.Tech / M.Tech or M.Sc. pursuing a full-time course in Engineering or Science from a recognized Indian university or institute.

Eligible Disciplines and Specializations

• Electronics Engineering / ECE: Communication, Microwave, VLSI, Networking
• Electrical Engineering: Power Systems, Control Systems
• Computer Science Engineering: AI/ML, IT, Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Computer Vision & Image Processing
• Mechanical Engineering: Production Technology
• Aerospace Engineering: Flight Dynamics & Control
• M.Sc. Physics: Atmospheric Physics

Stipend and Conditions

• Stipend Amount: ₹5,000 per month
• Disbursement:
  • Paid in two installments.
  • First installment after successful completion of 3 months and minimum 15 days/month physical attendance.
• Mode of Payment: Direct bank transfer.

Note: No stipend will be paid if the intern fails to complete the first 3 months.

Internship Terms and Conditions

• Attendance Requirement: Minimum 15 working days per month physically at ITR.
• Completion Certificate: Issued only after successful project submission and full internship duration.
• No Employment Guarantee: This internship does not ensure any future employment with DRDO.
• No Accommodation or Travel Support: Interns must arrange their own lodging, food, and transportation. Subsidized meals are available at the ITR canteen.
