Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry / Material Science / Polymer Science)

For basic sciences, you need a postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline with first division and NET qualification. For engineering streams like Chemical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, or Polymer Science and Engineering, you can apply with a B.E./B.Tech degree in first division with NET/GATE. Alternatively, an M.E./M.Tech in the relevant discipline with first division at both graduate and postgraduate levels works too.

Age Relaxation and Reservation Rules

The maximum age for RA is 35 years and for JRF it is 28 years as on the date of the interview. SC/ST candidates get 5 years of relaxation, and OBC candidates get 3 years. OBC candidates in the creamy layer are not eligible for age relaxation. The number of vacancies may change depending on the requirement at the time of the interview. A vacancy may be left unfilled if no suitable candidate is found.

Stipend, Contingency Grant and Other Benefits
