The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), India’s premier defense R&D body under the Ministry of Defence, is inviting applications for its 6-month paid internship program at the Scientific Analysis Group (SAG), located in Delhi. Open to final-year B.E./B.Tech and second-year M.Tech/M.Sc students in Computer Science, ECE, Mathematics, or Physics, this prestigious internship offers hands-on experience in defense research along with a monthly stipend of ₹5,000.

A total of 40 on-site internship positions are available, starting 1 August 2025. The last date to apply is 13 July 2025.

Who Can Apply?

For Undergraduate Students:

• Must be pursuing a full-time B.E./B.Tech from a recognized Indian university/institute.
• Should have completed 6th semester and entering 7th/8th semester in August 2025.
• No backlogs allowed in any of the first 5 semesters.

For Postgraduate Students:

• Must be enrolled in M.Tech/M.Sc. (2nd year) full-time programs in a relevant field.

Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.

Selection Process

1. Academic Criteria: Applicants must have 85% marks or 8.5 CGPA and above from UGC/AICTE-approved institutions.
2. Shortlisting: Based on academic record and document verification.
3. Interaction/Interview (if required).
4. Final Selection: Only selected students will be informed via email.

Note: Incomplete or late applications will be rejected. No communication will be made with non-selected candidates.

Stipend & Payment Structure

• Monthly Stipend: ₹5,000
• Payment Method: Direct bank transfer
• Disbursement:
  • ₹15,000 after completion of 3 months
  • ₹15,000 after successful completion of 6 months
• Additional Costs: Accommodation, food, transport, etc. to be borne by the candidate.
• Attendance: As per lab’s working hours; sick leave allowed only on valid prescription.

Required Documents at Time of Joining

1. Original No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your college.
2. Police verification certificate.
3. Undertaking for compliance with:
   • Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923
   • IT Rules & Regulations of MoD
4. Copy of Aadhaar card (original to be shown).
5. Cancelled cheque for stipend bank transfer.
6. All semester mark sheets (originals for verification).

Terms and Conditions

• Internship will be strictly in areas relevant to SAG/DRDO.
• No casual leave permitted except sick leave with valid prescription.
• Students leaving before 3 months will not receive any stipend or certificate.
• Completing the full 6 months is mandatory to receive both the stipend and certificate.
• This internship does not guarantee future employment with DRDO.
• The organization holds the right to modify or cancel the selection process at any stage.
• Any violation of rules or breach of security can result in immediate termination.

How to Fill the Application Form

Here’s what you’ll need to include:

1. Personal Details: Name, DOB, Aadhaar, contact info.
2. Academic Info: Degree, discipline, current semester/year, CGPA, 10th/12th marks.
3. Extras: Certifications, extracurriculars (if any).
4. Passport-size photograph (4.5 x 3.5 cm) pasted on the form.

Two undertakings are also required:

• Adherence to the Indian Official Secrets Act.
• Compliance with IT rules and MoD regulations.
