About the Role
As an Associate Quality Engineer at Xactly, you will be part of a global QA team responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products. You will participate in the full testing lifecycle, including planning, test case development, manual and automated testing, bug reporting, and performance monitoring. This is a hands-on role designed for recent graduates or professionals with up to 2 years of experience, offering exposure to industry-leading tools, training in automation, CI/CD workflows, and agile methodologies.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers in a fast-paced Agile Scrum environment, gaining expertise in cloud-based enterprise SaaS applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop test strategies, write test plans and create test cases
- Perform manual and automated testing of web applications and APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality
- Log and track defects using standard tools
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Gain hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, TestNG, Maven, RestAssure, Docker, Jenkins, and JMeter
- Understand product requirements and ensure functional coverage through testing
- Contribute to release activities and post-release validations
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues and implement corrective actions
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
Eligibility
- Experience: 0 to 2 years in QA, Software Testing, or a similar role

What You’ll Learn
Within 1 Month:
- Attend onboarding and product training
- Understand Xactly’s QA processes and tools
- Join your Scrum team and observe sprint activities
Within 3 Months:
- Gain hands-on experience with Xactly’s test frameworks
- Understand product architecture and features
- Contribute to test planning and basic automation tasks
Within 6 Months:
- Lead test planning and execution for features
- Ensure best QA practices across modules
- Participate in production release activities and contribute to improving code quality
Within 12 Months:
- Own the testing lifecycle for assigned modules
- Be involved in sprint planning and product design reviews
- Drive process improvements and reduce production defect escapes
Team Environment
You will join a diverse and expanding QA team of 35+ members across locations in San Jose, Denver, and Bengaluru. The team fosters independence, accountability, and collaboration. QA Engineers work directly with developers and product managers to build and maintain high-performance enterprise applications.
