Job Description

This role suits candidates with knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes, including payment runs. The work calls for the ability to work independently and take initiative, along with strong written and verbal communication.

Proficiency in accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel is expected.

Responsibilities

1. Receive, review and verify supplier invoices and supporting documents (e.g., purchase orders, delivery notes) for accuracy and completeness.
2. Conduct 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices.
3. Process payments (checks, bank transfers, card payments) according to payment terms and available funds.
4. Work through deviations by following up, chasing the business and working closely with the client.
5. Assist with month-end closing, accruals, and internal and external audits by providing AP records and reports.
