Overview
Job Overview:
As part of the HDD modeling team, you will develop, maintain, and test SoC models in C#. These models replicate the register-accurate functionality of controller chips managing HDD/NAND storage, helping clients shorten SDLC and adopt shift-left methodologies. You will collaborate with firmware, design, and verification teams to deliver industry-leading storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop C#-based models for SoC and memory architectures
- Implement new hardware IPs/features into the models
- Debug and fix issues in co-simulation environments
- Perform root cause analysis for failures in collaboration with other teams
- Work with firmware development in embedded C++ across FPGA, simulator, and eHDD environments
- Participate in SAFe Agile processes, SCRUM, and cross-functional development
- Contribute to HDD products using SAS, SATA, and PCIe interfaces
- Understand the full product lifecycle of storage solutions
Required Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in CS, CE, EE, EC, or related field (minimum CGPA 7.5 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of C, C++, SystemC, and C#
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and multi-threading
- Experience in low-level firmware development
- Good understanding of digital logic fundamentals and microcontroller architectures (ARM or ARC)
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems
- Strong problem-solving, algorithm design, and complexity analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RTOS (uCOS, ThreadX, MQX, VxWorks, Embedded Linux)
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, Python, or Tcl
- Understanding of memory types such as SRAM, DRAM, ROM, Flash
