About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Associate to join its Global Payments and Liquidity team. This role involves working on data analysis, reporting, and research to support business decisions and improve process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business problems and data needs into analyses and recommendations
- Develop standard and customized reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses
- Provide updates on project logs, budgets, and operational reviews
- Participate in system design, programming, testing, and implementation support
- Troubleshoot production and issuance issues, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Contribute to departmental procedures, policies, and controls to minimize risks
- Work on data and business research, secondary research testing, and intelligence projects
- Collaborate with technology teams and other business groups to execute projects
- Support project design, data collection, reporting, and presentation preparation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience in Analytics or equivalent (work experience, training, military, or education)
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in quantitative fields such as Applied Mathematics, Accounting, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or Business/Social Sciences with quantitative emphasis
- 6 months of experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Teradata)
- Experience in developing complex SQL queries and working with coding environments
- Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization/automation tools
- Experience in building efficient data solutions for insights and reporting
- Exposure to Treasury Management Products or Commercial Banking (preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Partner management and stakeholder communication experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields)
