What success looks like in this role
With guidance, the Associate Tech Service Desk performs routine technical support tasks for end users and clients. The role focuses on resolving common issues, assisting users, and ensuring service requests are handled effectively.
- Provide first line user support by guiding users through steps required to restore system functionality.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems using remote access tools.
- Escalate complex issues to second and third level resolver teams when required.
- Coordinate and complete end user service requests, including software installations and user administration tasks.
- Ensure support tickets are tracked through closure while keeping users informed about status and progress.
- Follow established Service Desk procedures, including policies related to desktop systems, peripherals, connectivity, and security.
- Contribute to improving the Service Desk knowledge base.
- Deliver results aligned with organizational service level agreements (SLAs).
- Assist with special assignments and projects as needed.
Basic Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Typically less than one year of experience in a related support or technical area.
