What success looks like in this role
Under guidance, the associate carries out routine service desk support activities to assist end users and maintain system functionality.
- Provide first‑line user assistance by guiding users through steps required to restore system functionality.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems using remote access tools.
- Escalate more complex issues to second and third level resolver teams when necessary.
- Coordinate and complete end‑user service requests, including software installations and user administration tasks.
- Ensure service tickets are followed through to closure while keeping users informed about status and progress.
- Follow service desk, desktop, peripheral, connectivity, and security policies and procedures.
- Contribute to improving the service desk knowledge base.
- Deliver results in alignment with organizational service level agreements (SLAs).
- Support special assignments or projects when required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Typically less than 1 year of experience in a related area.
