What success looks like in this role
In this position, you will develop familiarity with technical writing concepts, practices, tools, and methodologies used to create product documentation.
With guidance, you will write and maintain documentation for routine or moderately complex products and features. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with product teams, engineering, service delivery, and other technical staff to gather product and feature details.
- Researching technical information and translating it into manuals or web-based documentation.
- Simplifying complex technical concepts so they are understandable for colleagues and customers without a technical background.
- Writing, editing, and proofreading printed and online documentation to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Ensuring deliverables are technically and operationally accurate.
- Producing detailed, step by step instructions that are clear and easy to follow.
You will also build knowledge of products and their domains by reviewing reference materials and working with subject matter experts.
The role requires learning and following Unisys terminology, editorial standards, and brand guidelines while contributing to special projects as assigned.
