Responsibilities
- Contribute to backend, mobile, or web application development that supports Uber’s platform.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code across systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and operations.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and contribute to team growth.
- Help improve application performance, reliability, and overall user experience.
- Explore new technologies and develop tools that enhance developer productivity.
- Deliver impactful features and updates that make transportation more efficient and safer.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience through internships, research, coding competitions, or open-source contributions.
- Solid programming knowledge in at least one major application or systems language:
Go, Python, Java, C++, Ruby. - Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Willingness to learn new tools, languages, and development paradigms.
- Passion for building scalable infrastructure and high-impact user-facing applications.
- Ability to write reusable, understandable, and maintainable code.
- Proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership over delivered work.
- Team-oriented with good communication and collaboration skills.
