Role Description
As a Core Engineering Intern, you will join a high-performing team of engineers focused on solving complex, large-scale problems across the firm’s Post Trade Platform. You will gain hands-on experience working on high-impact projects involving critical financial infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the firm’s Post Trade Platform tools, including:
- Reference data management
- Trade capture
- Reconciliation
- Profit & Loss
- Trade cost management
- Surveillance
- Compliance and regulatory tools
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand user requirements for specific features
- Develop reliable, scalable, and high-performance software systems in coordination with multiple teams
- Drive innovation in middle office and back-office software applications and process automation
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms
- Proficient in Python and Java
- Familiarity with Linux systems and shell scripting
- Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and ElasticSearch is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
