Tower Research Capital Engineering Intern | 130k/month

Role Description

As a Core Engineering Intern, you will join a high-performing team of engineers focused on solving complex, large-scale problems across the firm’s Post Trade Platform. You will gain hands-on experience working on high-impact projects involving critical financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the firm’s Post Trade Platform tools, including:
  • Reference data management
  • Trade capture
  • Reconciliation
  • Profit & Loss
  • Trade cost management
  • Surveillance
  • Compliance and regulatory tools
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand user requirements for specific features
• Develop reliable, scalable, and high-performance software systems in coordination with multiple teams
• Drive innovation in middle office and back-office software applications and process automation

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms
• Proficient in Python and Java
• Familiarity with Linux systems and shell scripting
• Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and ElasticSearch is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
