Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Hyderabad team in a hybrid work environment. This role involves the design, coding, testing, and support of major software components, with a strong emphasis on quality and testability.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, testing, and support of software components.
• Reverse engineer existing product code to gain deep understanding for enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with team leaders, project managers, and cross-functional teams including customer support and engineering.
• Develop enhancements to the Teradata RDBMS product and design low to medium complexity database features.

Required Skills

• Strong programming skills in C and data structures.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging abilities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to independently design algorithmic solutions considering complexity and performance.
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively.
• Solid software development skills including design specification, coding, and testing.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of RDBMS and SQL.
• Understanding of operating system internals (UNIX, Windows).
• Experience with database engine design and construction.
• Familiarity with complex parallel software or system programming.
• Proficiency in Python scripting.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker deployment technologies.

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Experience

0 to 3 years of experience in product support or sustaining medium to large projects.
