Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Hyderabad team in a hybrid work environment. This role involves the design, coding, testing, and support of major software components, with a strong emphasis on quality and testability.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, testing, and support of software components.
- Reverse engineer existing product code to gain deep understanding for enhancements.
- Collaborate closely with team leaders, project managers, and cross-functional teams including customer support and engineering.
- Develop enhancements to the Teradata RDBMS product and design low to medium complexity database features.
Required Skills
- Strong programming skills in C and data structures.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging abilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently design algorithmic solutions considering complexity and performance.
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively.
- Solid software development skills including design specification, coding, and testing.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of RDBMS and SQL.
- Understanding of operating system internals (UNIX, Windows).
- Experience with database engine design and construction.
- Familiarity with complex parallel software or system programming.
- Proficiency in Python scripting.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker deployment technologies.
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Experience
0 to 3 years of experience in product support or sustaining medium to large projects.
