Job Overview

Tata Communications is hiring a Jr. Engineer - Cybersecurity Operations to support perimeter security operations for a key customer engagement. The role involves handling L1 support tickets related to proxy and firewall devices, troubleshooting security incidents, and managing customer service requests.

The position requires the ability to work independently while managing multiple incidents and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Proxy/SSE solutions such as Zscaler, Netskope, and Prisma SASE, along with firewalls including FortiGate, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and Cisco FTDs.
• Support SSE capabilities including Internet Access, Private Access, and Digital Experience.
• Implement changes and resolve incidents related to proxy solutions like Zscaler.
• Follow ITIL service management practices and processes.
• Monitor and manage customer perimeter security infrastructure according to SLA commitments with minimal escalations.
• Handle vulnerability management activities and coordinate remediation for managed infrastructure.
• Investigate security incidents and document root causes along with impact analysis.
• Assist in IT security assessments and audits for internal and external systems, preparing reports with remediation recommendations.
• Support the development and documentation of IT security architecture to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT assets.
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with internal teams and external clients.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related IT discipline.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity operations.
• Ability to communicate with technical teams and management.
• Willingness to work in flexible 24/7 shifts.
• Ability to follow established processes and operational guidelines.
• Strong integrity and professional work ethic.
