About the Role
Oracle is looking for a motivated System Engineer I to join our team as a Backup Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining enterprise backup solutions using Cohesity, EMC NetWorker, Isilon, and OCI technologies. Your work will ensure robust data protection and efficient recovery processes to support our business continuity goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain backup and recovery systems using Cohesity, EMC NetWorker, and Isilon.
- Utilize basic cloud knowledge, with OCI experience preferred.
- Perform routine backup operations, monitor job status, and resolve issues promptly.
- Manage data restoration requests while ensuring data integrity and security.
- Troubleshoot and fix backup failures and related incidents.
- Create and maintain documentation, schedules, and reports for backup jobs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project deployments and incident resolution.
- Follow best practices and compliance requirements for data protection.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical backup and recovery issues.
- Assist in audits and disaster recovery exercises.
