Role Overview
As an Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (ASDET) at Swiggy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless functionality of our platform across mobile, web, and backend applications. You will be responsible for designing and executing tests to maintain system reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct functional testing for mobile applications (Android/iOS) to ensure optimal performance
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman to validate backend functionalities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Utilize tools such as JIRA, Postman, and Charles Proxy for efficient testing workflows
- Apply knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and software testing concepts to enhance software quality
- Manage the defect life cycle, including severity and priority assessments
- Conduct multi-platform testing with a keen eye for detail
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute and validate test cases
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Testing principles, methodologies, HTTP, and REST concepts
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
- Familiarity with Selenium and Appium for automation testing
- Experience in Java, Selenium, or Appium is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud mobile testing tools like LambdaTest and BrowserStack is advantageous
