Role Description
Swiggy is seeking highly motivated and curious individuals to join its engineering team as Associate Software Development Engineers (aSDEs). As part of this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers on backend system design and development. This opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience working on scalable, performance-driven services using modern technologies like Java, Go, Elasticache, Elasticsearch, Kafka, SQS, and DynamoDB.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain scalable backend systems and services
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Java and Go
- Work with caching and data streaming tools such as Elasticache, Elasticsearch, Kafka, SQS, and DynamoDB
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high standards of quality and maintainability
- Contribute to discussions on system architecture and new feature development
- Identify and troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and solve scalability challenges
Candidate Requirements
- B.Tech graduates from the 2024 or 2025 batch with academic focus in Computer Science or related field
- Strong programming skills in Java and/or Go
- Familiarity with backend development practices and modern development stacks
- Basic knowledge of databases, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and version control systems (Git)
- Willingness to learn and explore emerging technologies
- Good communication and team collaboration skills
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
