Job Description
This role focuses on enhancing, maintaining, and supporting Oracle Cerner's world-class enterprise-wide Revenue Management information system, specifically the Oracle Health Patient Accounting application. This system supports financing of care in acute and ambulatory environments and is used by healthcare provider revenue cycle management personnel. The Oracle Health Patient Accounting solution includes several modules: Revenue Management, Patient Access/registration, and Scheduling/appointment management.
Key Responsibilities
As a Support Engineer 1, you will enhance, monitor, and support the Oracle Health Patient Accounting application. You will perform ongoing troubleshooting and enhancements to ensure the solution is fully optimized and operational. You will respond to user enhancement requests and manage, build, and implement changes to enhance and optimize the client's financial solutions through industry change control processes. Your goal is to meet and exceed client contractual obligations related to incidents and enhancements.
Additionally, you will act as a focal point resource for the team and represent the team at key internal or client meetings as needed. You will also support a scheduled on-call rotation for critical client issues at specific times throughout the year. Prospective employees must be available and willing to work the schedule: 5:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. IST.
Work involves problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures. You will perform troubleshooting investigations by gathering information, using troubleshooting tools, shadowing end users, and testing workflows internally and externally. You will prioritize work based on severity and urgency, balancing client and business needs. You will collaborate across teams to ensure issues are addressed by the appropriate individuals, and document notes, activities, resolutions, and other knowledge articles throughout the investigation lifecycle.
A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Care Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience with 0-2 years of experience is required.
