About the Role
Join the FIG – Bank Rates team at S&P Global as an Apprentice in Data Management. You’ll be working with a global team across India, Pakistan, the Philippines, and the USA. This role focuses on gathering financial data from banks, primarily in the US, via phone and online resources, and transforming that data into insights for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct phone calls to US banks during US business hours to gather data on interest rates
- Supplement calls with email follow-ups and online research for accuracy
- Timely entry and submission of data into internal systems
- Maintain strong relationships with external bank representatives
- Stay updated with industry changes to enhance data accuracy
- Explore and recommend improvements to data collection methods
- Support fee-related and charter-specific data activities
- Participate in department-wide initiatives such as automation and quality analytics
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Comfortable working in a 24×5 rotational environment including US night shifts
- Professional attitude, team-oriented mindset, and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Prior experience in tele-calling or data collection is a plus
- Interest in technology and data-driven environments
Technical Skills Required: data entry, internet research, MS Excel, verbal communication, email correspondence, time management, client handling, tele-calling, database management
