Software Testing Engineer Intern at CACTUS | Remote India

Overview

The company is looking for a detail-focused and analytical Software Testing Engineer Intern to support the quality assurance team. In this role, you will help ensure the reliability, quality, and performance of software applications through manual and automated testing. The position involves working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and validate product functionality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform manual testing and basic automated tests to detect bugs and issues.
• Collaborate with developers to understand application features and functionality.
• Document and report defects clearly, and track issues until resolution.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and team meetings.
• Conduct regression testing and verify that the software meets design specifications.
• Maintain documentation for testing processes and results, contributing to the overall QA approach.

Qualifications and Prerequisites

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE) or Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
• Basic knowledge of software testing principles and SDLC/STLC.
• Ability to write clear and structured test plans and test cases.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG is beneficial.
• Basic exposure to programming languages like Java or Python is preferred.
• Capability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
