Role Summary

Zebra is seeking an Associate Test Engineer to support Android automation testing initiatives. The role suits someone with a foundation in software testing, interest in mobile test automation, and curiosity about AI systems.

You will collaborate with senior test engineers and the Test Lead to execute test strategies, maintain automation scripts, and help ensure the quality of Android applications.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Agent Development: Design, architect, and deploy intelligent AI agents using frameworks such as LangGraph and LLM APIs including OpenAI API to address enterprise challenges.
• Automation and Workflow Management: Develop and refine standards and guardrails for automation scripts while ensuring reliable execution and integration with enterprise asset systems.
• Technical Problem Solving: Diagnose complex system integrations, manage API security including key management and SSL configuration, and optimize Python-based AI workflows for scalability and performance.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work with technical leadership to align internal AI initiatives and identify impactful use cases for AI solutions.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain internal technical documentation, explaining processes and technical concepts clearly to leadership and cross‑functional teams.

Required Skills and Experience

• Basic knowledge of application development concepts with exposure to Android, Java, or Python.
• Foundational Python scripting skills with interest in learning data visualization and analysis tools.
• Familiarity with fundamental machine learning concepts and willingness to learn data annotation, visualization, and data quality practices.
• Understanding of machine learning model evaluation and interest in tracking model metrics. Exposure to tools such as Weights & Biases is beneficial but not required.
• Interest or introductory knowledge in computer vision projects and related testing challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience of around one year, or strong internship exposure, in software testing or Android OS testing.
• Curiosity about generative AI technologies and emerging tools.
• Strong analytical approach, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.
