About the Role
MSCI is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our technology team in Mumbai. This role involves working collaboratively with global teams across four locations, leveraging cutting-edge software development practices and technologies to deliver high-impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software solutions using Core Java, data structures, concurrency, and object-oriented design.
- Adopt an AI-first development mindset to create innovative automation pipelines.
- Collaborate with Index Research teams to automate index calculation algorithms for existing and new methodologies.
- Apply complex software design patterns with the latest Java technologies.
- Utilize Oracle and PL/SQL for database operations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including peers, senior management, and clients.
- Adapt to evolving requirements and support business needs beyond regular working hours.
Required Skills & Experience
- In-depth knowledge of Core Java, data structures, and concurrency.
- Hands-on experience with AI-based development tools.
- Exposure to Python programming.
- Proficiency in Oracle and PL/SQL.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Prior experience in the financial domain is preferred.
