About the Role
Honeywell is looking for a Software Engineer I to design, develop, and integrate applications and tools for the HPS-PMT division. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and innovative approaches to technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, developers, program managers, testers, and documentation teams to define clear product and system requirements.
- Work effectively in an Agile environment, understanding the full software development lifecycle.
- Interpret use case stories from product owners and work with designers to ensure thorough requirement understanding.
- Provide accurate development task estimations and complete assigned tasks within sprint timelines, including development, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Deliver high-quality code with thorough reviews, automated unit tests, and integration tests before system testing.
- Assist in root cause analysis for test failures and contribute to debugging and performance improvements.
- Make timely, well-informed decisions even in complex situations.
Qualifications
Graduate in Computer Science, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering with 1–3 years of proven experience in product development for industrial and automation products.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in C/C++, VC++, MFC, COM, and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience in Windows application development using C# and multi-threaded applications.
- Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting issues such as memory leaks and crashes.
- Solid understanding of OOPS and software design principles.
- Knowledge of DCS/PLC/Industrial Automation systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with the complete software product development lifecycle and automated unit testing.
