About the Internship Program
As a Software Engineer Intern at Stripe, you will work on impactful projects that directly contribute to our mission. You will gain hands-on experience with various systems and technologies, participate in systems design, and present your work to teams across the organization. Each intern is paired with a dedicated manager and assigned projects that are integral to the team's roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop production-ready software with meaningful impact on Stripe's operations.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to refine solutions.
- Learn quickly by engaging with mentors, asking thoughtful questions, and effectively communicating progress.
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- Basic programming experience through coursework or projects; familiarity with Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Scala, or Go is a plus.
- Experience in collaborative projects or internships, including open-source contributions.
- Ability to independently research and understand unfamiliar systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of university education or equivalent work experience.
- Specialized knowledge in areas such as frontend technologies or backend service handling.
- Experience writing high-quality code with good test coverage.
- Ability to navigate and contribute to large, multi-language codebases.
- Strong written communication skills to explain technical work to diverse stakeholders.
Work Location
This role is based in Bengaluru, India, with an expectation of spending at least 50% of the time in the local office, depending on team requirements.
Salary & Benefits
